Engaging and thrilling, this project unfolded as a captivating endeavor that entailed recording interviews set against the stunning backdrop of Loch Ness. We orchestrated awe-inspiring drone shots, capturing the vastness of the area and providing a sweeping visual narrative of the landscape. Adding to the excitement, a boat trip to Loch Ness allowed us to engage with local residents, capturing their perspectives and weaving an authentic storyline.

The combination of on-location interviews, expansive drone footage, and a boat journey not only added depth to the project but also allowed for a comprehensive exploration of the Loch Ness locale. The diverse elements converged to create a rich and immersive experience, reflecting the unique essence of the surroundings and the narratives shared by the local community.

Capitalising on the vastness of Loch Ness, our drone became an essential tool for accentuating its expansive beauty. Through wide-angle shots, we skilfully descended along the banks and captured low-level perspectives on the water, amplifying the sheer scale of this iconic location.

One particularly challenging shot involved navigating the drone through thick woodland, tracing the course of a river, and unveiling a bus crossing a bridge. Given the absence of a turnaround space for the bus, this shot was executed as a single take, underscoring the importance of precise timing. This sequence not only showcased the versatility of drone cinematography but also highlighted the meticulous planning required to capture dynamic and visually compelling footage.

Collaborating with John on the filming of interviews with both local residents and avid monster hunters, our primary tool for ground-based shots was the Canon C300MK3.

This exceptional camera, complemented by a selection of prime lenses, played a central role in capturing the essence and nuances of the interviews.

The Canon C300MK3, renowned for its versatility and image quality, allowed us to achieve a cinematic look and feel for the interviews.

The use of prime lenses further added a depth of visual richness to the footage, ensuring that the stories and perspectives shared by residents and monster hunters were captured with the utmost clarity and impact.
